You will one day holiday potluck party weekend and want to take an aperitif that everyone can enjoy. You want to be able to do something vegan or vegetarian eating and scrunch not their noses to omnivores. Get you questioned that tofu kebabs make. Here are two vegans tested and approved by the omnivores and vegan dip both.
The first is an easy dip you whisk together when you need something to serve as a pressed guests. You may have already almost everything required in your refrigerator and a pantry. The only exception might be, hoisin sauce though can you keep a bottle of the frame in my refrigerator all the time. Here is the recipe.
Vegetarian Asian black bean DIP
1 box (15 ounces, 425 grams) black beans, drained and rinsed
1 Tbsp. minced fresh ginger
1 chopped garlic clove
Sesame oil 1 tbsp toasted (see note below)
1 C. in soy sauce soup
Cayenne 1/8 tsp
1 Tbsp rice vinegar
1/4 cup chopped scallions
2 tsp sugar
2 Tablespoons hoisin sauce
Place all ingredients in a blender or a food processor. Mixture, stirring often, bottom until you get a smooth paste. There still green onion bits inside.
* Note: Sesame oil is the dark type with the full-bodied flavor and aroma, not light and fresh oil. Often found in the section of Asian food store.
Sprinkle with chopped green onions or sesame for a nice garnish. Serve with some chips or crudite.
The second actually more "normal" won dip (containing animal products) appetizer recipes in a contest of revenue magazine. This is another mixture whip-up-fast.
Incredibly non-dairy Curry Dip
grapes dried 1/4 cup
3 TBS water
tofu closes 1 box (12.3 oz)
2 TBS chopped onion
1/2 clove of garlic, chopped
1/4 cup grated coconut
1/2 tsp salt
1-1/2 tsp curry powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tsp lemon juice
Canola oil 2 TBS.
Grapes soak in water until soft, about 15 minutes.
Mix all ingredients in a blender or a food processor until particularly smooth. (It will always be a texture of coconut and grape nuts.)
Serve with chips and the crudite. I love the sliced Zucchini, sweet peppers strips (a combination of colours such as green, orange, red and yellow, seems particularly beautiful) and carrots. Raw or slightly bleached broccoli and cauliflower also go well.
Try one or two of these vegan appetizer dip for your next potluck. I bet that no one will be scrunch nose once their taste their.
